Our Story
Lingbari Restaurant was established in 2017 with the motive of promoting the cultural dishes of the Limbu(yakthung) community.
The word Lingbari comes from the Limbu (Yakthung) language. “Ling” refers to siru, a type of grass that holds cultural and traditional significance in the Limbu community (the meaning of “Ling” in Yakthung may vary depending on the place). “Bari” means garden, so together it forms Lingbari, meaning Siru Garden.
Today, Lingbari has grown into a successful business. What began in Dharan-16 with the aim of promoting culture has now expanded with another branch in Bhedetar "Lingbari bhedetar", and a organization lingbari tourism, with the goal of promoting tourism.
